And about gamers, Yes! It annoys me so much but i still can't deny the fact that it gave me laughs. I wrote a bit about it in it's anime's info page. That anime is just a gag anime but the misunderstandings made it worse but somehow i ended up enjoying them or morelike was okay with them. The video-game idea is irrelevant here unless that we associate the game concept with a relationship. If you're into unnecessary drama and a lackluster story sprinkled with light humor, then this is the anime for you. But i know it isn't for You lol

To make it short, i enjoyed it and I'm not sure why i enjoyed it. Tendou was one if the reasons too, lmao.

I mentioned Gamers in that context because I can see both arguments. While people such as yourself might find it funny, there ARE others who find it so annoying with all the misunderstandings, that things can literally be solved with a single conversation.

this anime is too deep for my dumb brain and slice of life heart.

it's actually a simple story made complicated by having so many characters. TLDR these are turbulent times and everyone is trying to grab as much power as they can because they think it'll keep them safe/happy. the king's severed head on a pike says otherwise

And for me, it's not deep enough for what it is. 3 episodes in and I couldn't give 2 fuks about any of the characters. The animation and story line are rather depressing.

JC Staff ain't a bad studio, they just happen to get a rep for it. They're basically a mid-tier anime studio at best, MAYBE above average on their best day.

Heck, last year they were pretty solid apart from Blue Reflection Ray. Edens Zero, Realist Hero, Duke of Death and his Maid, and Combatants were all good. Haven't seen either Skate Leading Stars or WIXOSS Diva(A)Live to make a comment on it.
For every Toradora, Food Wars, Konosuba movie, and Prison School we get from them, we get a OPM S2, Milfsekai, Index S3, and Strongest Sage of Disqualified Crest.
